Flora and Henri…

I would totally wear the grown up versions of these clothes… in fact, I think I might already! In my last post, I mentioned one of my favorite children’s apparel shops, Flora and Henri. I love the simplicity and timeless style of their clothing. I love the quality, fabrics and color palette choices. I just found these adorable photos from Seattle style blog, Needle + Thread.

When I lived in Seattle I would pass the shop on a regular basis on my walks from Capitol Hill to downtown. I would occasionally wander in or, more often, linger on the sidewalk in front of the window displays for ridiculous amounts of time. I have said to many friends over the years, “I don’t ever want any of that effing Barney stuff or Winnie the Pooh. When I have a baby, please get me something from Flora and Henri… even just a sock.”

Last year, Flora and Henri moved to the beautifully rejuvenated Oddfellows Building on Capitol Hill. They are in good company–my good friend, Linda, has a wonderful restaurant and bar called Oddfellows Cafe and there is sweet Molly Moon’s Homemade Ice Cream shop right next door.
