Colenimo SS2011
For their A/W 2010 Collection, I wrote about how Colenimo blew me away with their Busby Berkeley/Ruby Keeler-inspired looks. Once again, the line has bowled me over with more of my personal heroes as muse for their Spring/Summer 2011 Collection.
This time Colenimo references the gorgeous photograph from 1928 taken by famous photographer, Edward Steichen for Vogue. The iconic image captures a row of four seastruck lovely ladies. Centered in the shot of hatted beauties is one of the first people who was a great inspiration to me at a young age, Lee Miller.
This all makes me a little verklempt. Honestly, if Colenimo’s designer, Aya Nakagawa, is inspired by the surrealists for A/W 2011, I might just stop talking completely or maybe burst into flames.
These looks are incredibly beautiful… SIGH.

Wow, so gorgeous!!
They are the best!
They are based not far from where I live and the clothes up-close and a dozen times better than the pics.
I can’t stop thinking about this collection. Aya is so amazing.
