Little Bandits

Grey Gardens’ Edie Beale, Maxime de la Falaise, unconventional thinkers and rebellious ladies everywhere are the inspirations behind Helene Morris and Steve Ferguson’s enchanted Little Bandits Collection from Lonely Hearts. My favorite pieces from the New Zealand-based range are the delirious velvet and floral looks (especially that acid-mustard dress!), leopard shorts, knitwear and lace lovelies.

There are definite 1990’s overtones going on, but I think the classic shapes and nods to other eras absolutely elevate the collection above other labels who have been embracing basic 90’s trends. The pieces are versatile, classic and lovely. The collection is balanced—full of both sugary innocence and darker, broody looks. Of course their gorgeous signature lingerie looks phenomenal with these pieces too. SIGH.

I love that they even have a raccoon “Little Bandit” mascot represented on sweatshirts and tees for the collection—I think Little Edie and Big Edie would definitely approve.

Here’s a little preview–the collection will be available in April on Revolve and La Dama in the US, as well as a variety of other stockists. Lookbook credits below.
