Morning Coffee Ritual

I’m so curious about these tools from Portland’s Coava Coffee Roasters. The morning coffee ritual is so enjoyable and, because I am obsessive, I keep thinking about how it might BE EVEN BETTER with these alluring gadgets. Coava even designed their own stainless steel “Kone” filter to fit perfectly in the beautiful, glass Chemex® coffee maker. The grinder and shiny kettle look and sound fantastic too. Sigh.

Their coffee is great. I have to admit that I’ve only been to the coffee shop twice while I was hitting a salvage shop and a few antiques places I love in that area. It isn’t like the coziest place in the world, but the people there are smart, nice and know their stuff. It is like a modern coffee laboratory and the air is thick with PDX coffee nerd. I want to go back and check out these gadgets!

Read more about the Coava “Kone” and there is a sneak peek of Coava’s new “One Cup” glass coffee maker online at Portland’s Marrow Magazine!

OMG I have the Chemex, and it’s the best kitchen think I have ever purchased! I got the 8 cup one. The coffee is way less bitter, and I love being able to make coffee without any kind of hot plastic. Super easy to clean, and looks pretty on your counter.

You’ll have to go check out the filter! It sounds fantastic. I got one for my friends for their wedding gift, but I’ve yet to taste it myself. Sounds so amazing.
