Après Ski
Such a pretty collection from Après Ski by Spanish jewelry designer, Lucía Vergara. Lucía is good friends with my friend, Ana Montiel, who thought I might like these lovely pieces. I do! I love that they are inspired by outer space and there are some sweet quotes about the collection from the designer:
“When I met “science boy” I scarcely knew anything about the universe. Now the outer space is always a route to love. I discovered the supplies not long after we met and I was thinking about him when I bought them.”
I totally agree. My grandfather, John McCabe (Mr. Honey Kennedy), was an aerospace engineer for Boeing and Lockheed. I drove him crazy with questions about the universe. Combine that curiosity with a penchant for old movies and starry-eyed daydreams… OH MY. The galaxy and her stars have a magic that eclipses almost all else because the possibilities of “what could be” are endless. Beautiful. ((sigh))
