Circa Circus

Say hello to Circa Circus! This is a new Portland-based Etsy shop collaboration between sweet Julie Bergmans (from Fab Gab’s Vintage) and her performance artist, sewist sweetheart, Mr. Jesse Fowler. The shop caters to burlesque, circus, ground acrobatics, aerial acrobatics and stage performers alike with a combination of vintage and completely transformed second hand pieces.

Here’s what Julie had to say about the Circa Circus background (I LOVE IT.):

“When we got together, we knew that we both had interest in vintage and in style. In fact, I think he has more clothes than I do! Aside from vintage, his closet was full of well, WEIRD stuff. I mean like green plastic pants (that he wore on our second date) and fishnet shirts with eyelash yarn that he crocheted on.

Since I am super classic, I wasn’t entirely sure what to make it of, but he wears it all well and I really appreciate that. He also used to be a competitive swing dancer, and that’s how we met–out dancing. He was wearing vintage, lucky for me–if he’d been wearing one of his altered shirts and booty pants, it is likely we would have missed each other.”
