Happy Birthday, Honey Kennedy.
Happy Birthday to the real Honey Kennedy, my grandmother, Ellen Jacquelyn Kennedy McCabe. I wish she was still here. I’ve been thinking about the fact that she has now been gone for more years than I got to spend with her. It’s hard to imagine since it seems like she has been with me the whole time. My life has changed so much since her passing and I wish she was here so she could know how big of an impact she really made on my life and the decisions I have made as an adult. We didn’t always agree, so she’d be pretty smug about it. I love you, Grammy. xoxoxo
Today is also the day that I moved to Portland three years ago. Those three years have zipped by and my only regret is not doing it sooner. I’ve made so many amazing friends and every day, when I walk around our neighborhood, I can’t believe I get to live somewhere this beautiful, inspiring and fun. I love you, Portland. xoxo

Oh I didn’t know that this blog was named after your grandmother. Happy birthday to her. I find my grandma so inspiring! Women from an older generation are just amazing.

Wow. I knew who Honey Kennedy was, but I really like the fact this blog is a homage to her.

Aww happy birthday Grammy! :) I feel the exact same way about my grandma too. Just know that in some way, she is totally there. Always.
And happy anniversary moving! There’s a place I long to visit. All my friends that live there say I’m a NW girl at heart. Ha! Hope you celebrated!
Thanks so much, Sherisa. She totally is here. :)
