Clair Vintage Inspired: Dress Giveaway!
YAY! Today’s giveaway is another super special treat. Local Portland designer, Alyson Clair, is giving away a dress from her wonderful line called Clair Vintage Inspired. For her Fall/Winter 2011 lookbook Alyson called upon a slew of clever, talented PDX ladies in their natural (work) habitats to don her frocks. These girls are rad!
Even more exciting is that the winner gets to choose a dress from 6 (seen below) of these new designs! Alyson’s dresses range in size from XS–XL and sell for around $140 at some amazing boutiques. How will you ever choooose??

I love love love EVERYTHING Clair makes! But I would have to say the Hoyt Dress in red and black is so hot! I would love to win that one!!!!
My two favorites are the ascot top + jumper and the ascot dress! So classic! The Clair dresses are always gorgeous and fit beautifully though, so it was hard to choose!

Dear Alyson,
How did you know that my past week+ has been devoted to watching Twin Peaks every night repeatedly? For the first time ever, and yes, i am quite late on this one. As I’m sure you can imagine, my brain has been filled with ONLY two things lately: working, and TWINPEAKSTWINPEAKSTWINPEAKSTWINPEAKS. My synapses are way strained, trust me. So, you can understand how I just perused this giveaway, shrieking inside while reading all about your amazing clothing, and then, the kicker: the mention of Log Lady (editors note: Hi Jen! FTW, forever). I about dropped dead. What am I supposed to do with myself now? I think you put me over the edge (no, actually, Bob did that).
So, with that said, I’m not just going to say which dresses are my favorites. I’m going to list my favorites that I think Log Lady might like, too:
Hoyt Dress in Brown Print – She’d totally wear it. Probably with a modest brown cardigan to cover up. And so the log wouldn’t get dirt on it.
Golden Carol Dress’ – ok she wouldn’t wear this one, but I would. Audrey Horne might too, especially when she was trying to get her way, aka always.
Thank you for making these killer clothes, and for giving me an outlet to release some pent-up tension re: Twin Peaks. Yes. JFJFJSKSJJFFJ

OMG! I got totally crazy OCD over Twin Peaks last year! I was the Log Lady for Halloween (well before Halloween since I got married on actually Halloween and didn’t want to do that as the Log Lady). I am going to be her again this year. My friend made me a paper mache log so my arms wouldn’t tire from dancing around with a real one.
Strange thing was I only had to get the wig from my closet to be her….
Also, did you know there are Twin Peaks trading cards?!?!?!!?
Dude, like, believe me when I tell you that MY LIFE IS NOW ONLY ABOUT TWIN PEAKS. I just want to talk about it all day long. It’s one of the best shows I’ve ever seen and has affected me in ways that I’ll remember always. Also, as a result of this, I’ve had Mairzy Doats stuck in my head for about, oh 6 days. I checked out their site and a lot of the dresses. I love how they are modeled by real people! And I’m glad to see the designer supports animal rescue, it’s one of my causes too.
My favorite design is the Hoyt Dress in brown print. That’s what I would pick if I were the lucky winner!
I really love the Hoyt Dress! I saw this in person at Union Rose and fell in love! The little under dress is so adorable. If I don’t win, I still plan to purchase it in the future. Alyson is such a doll!

The Hoyt Dress is adorable! With a 3/4 inch sleeve cardigan for work or without for a fall wedding. Perfect! I’m digging the Everett Top + Sparkle Houndstooth No Muffin Top Pencil Skirt too though…

I first saw the Ascot Top and Brown Jumper at the Alley 33 Fashion Event this summer and fell in love with it! I’m also very fond of the Golden Carol dress and see myself wearing it to cocktail parties. Love Clair Vintage Designs!!
