Esther, Amy & Violet

Yesterday I found this beautiful, haunting editorial shoot by photographer, Perry Ogden. It was taken in 1997 at an incredible estate in Natchez, Mississippi for Italian Vogue. The photographer was inspired by a book of 1940s photographs, Ghosts Along the Mississippi by Clarence Laughlin. He used the location to make it look like four ghostly sisters still reside in their dilapidated family home. LOVE!

I want to live in this estate. I don’t care if it doesn’t have running water/if all the windowpanes are broken/it’s totally crawling with gross southern bugs I NEED IT.

  2. wow that is such a great shoot. Thanks for introducing me to a new photographer!

Beautiful! The third photo down is the Ruins of Windsor (near Port Gibson). I highly recommend visiting if you’re ever down this way! It’s a little bit off the beaten path, but gorgeous and the perfect site for a picnic. I actually have a photo of the ruins hanging on my wall right now. :)
