Today is my grandmother’s birthday. I wish she was still here to celebrate–she was always the life of the party! Give your grandmas an extra squeeze for me if you can–they’re such special ladies. ♥

I loved my Nanna with all my heart. This is her in green swimsuit sometime in the 40s. She tinted the photograph herself.

that Honey Kennedy, she was quite a lovely dame! i miss my grandmother Lily Gilligan. she was the image of the queen mother, and always wore hats and heels from the 1940s. i memorized her favourite song and sang it to my kids as a lullaby.
she’s a stunning woman! and yes, grandma’s and grandpa are amazing and have such amazing stories. My grandma writes emails now, and when she grew up she lived in the smallest little village without running water or electricity! Absolutely amazing!
