One Hundred Days After Childhood

I was reading a little about Russian director Sergei Solovyov when I saw a few stills from his film from 1975, Sto dney posle detstva (100 Days After Childhood). The visuals were so beautiful that I scoured the internet to find more. As I was looking at all the images–it dawned on me that quite a few of them reminded me of Wes Anderson’s new film, Moonrise Kingdom. 100 Days After Childhood even takes place in a summer camp! So interesting–I wonder if Wes Anderson was inspired by this sweet coming of age film from the 70s. Has anyone seen it?

Screen caps from Sto dney posle detstva. Found on Film_Stills.

I haven’t seen it, but now I want to. It looks so incredibly beautiful and I can definitely see similarities in it to Moonrise Kingdom.

I’m a little freaked out by how much the guy in the second photo resembles Bruce Willis!
