Soft Geometry by Rebecca Desnos

I’ve been admiring these beautiful plant-dyed organic bamboo scarves made by London designer, Rebecca Desnos. They look like silk! Here is what Rebecca told me:
“My inspiration for the scarves was natural geometry; playing with geometric shapes to create something ‘softer’ and slightly imperfect. I produce the patterns by clamping wooden blocks to the folded fabric to form a resist (Shibori), and embrace the fact that the fabric does not line up 100% perfectly when it’s folded by hand. This produces geometric patterns that are ever so slightly off, softer on the eye, and more intriguing as a result.”

Have a very good week. Don’t forget to enter the dreamy Ink & Peat giveaway!
