Friday!

I mentioned this past Monday that my friend’s dog, Rico, had been missing for 10 days. He was found! It is a pretty miraculous story–how a 7 pound Papillon survived crossing a GIANT bridge and making it on his own in the forest for a week and a half on a mountain 9 miles from the house he slipped out of is beyond me. He’s home. He’s thrilled. We can all sleep now without laying in the dark, worrying. I’m still over the moon about it.

This weekend is going to be crazy busy. I’m trying to get the house ready for a friend to photograph for something special. This is when you realize how many things you’ve been neglecting to purchase. Yikes! Deep breaths. Have a wonderful weekend! xx

Hello, I’m a long time reader but very rarely comment. However, I’ve been talking about you elsewhere (on Door Sixteen) and I realised I really needed to say the same things here.

I love your blog. I have found so many amazing makers, artisans and designers through your blog and I can’t imagine how much work you put into finding these amazing people and their beautiful work. So thank you! And I really appreciated your support for Portland’s creators when I got to spend a week there last September… your blog formed a brilliant city guide.

(And while I’m saying thank you, maybe I should add a thank you for not assuming I was mad when I started talking pants on Instagram a while ago…)

OK, gushing un-British gratitude over. I’ll go back to being a silent reader for a while.

THANKS SO MUCH, LIZ!!! That’s so unbelievably nice to hear–you have no idea. I do work a crazy amount of hours to find interesting things to post. It means so much to hear that that translates to you. Means the world. Thanks so much!!! xx Jen

I really think someone should make a zine about the dog’s adventures.
