Hello! I’ve rounded up a bunch of things I’ve been admiring for this week’s Cavalcade! post. I can’t see that much of a cohesive theme this time in this selection–do you? Maybe ‘organic chalky patina’ and ‘relaxed cool’?? And ‘pie’. Ha. Unsure, but I love and am inspired by all of these beauties. See more Cavalcade! posts HERE.

I love this look for spring from Clu.

My new favorite candle makes my living room smell so good. Also, all my plants are alive!

I love this beautiful silk coat from Electric Feathers last collection.

Jessie’s Los Angeles home is gorgeous. So cozy and cheerful. More photos HERE.

Such a handsome photo of James Dean from 1955.

I’d LOVE to go back to Venice someday. Photo from Capture Italy.

This Joseph Campbell quote has been resonating with me a lot lately.

Lovely Harriet Hodgini helps clown, Otto Griebling, get his makeup on in 1935.

Total Victorian dream globe with “lunar patina”. SWOON.

I’d be pleased as punch to have this cursive alphabet chart hanging in my home.

Very inviting! Rosalie Tobia and son of Chez Rosalie in Montparnasse by Ré Soupault, 1935.

YUM. I love a good lemon meringue pie recipe.

A stunning photograph by Marlene Marino.

I’d love to hang this peonies print by Lauren Gray in my home.

Give me this pretty handbag! It really looks like it holds a lot.

SO CUTE. This little lady and her polka dot chambray dress steal my heart.

My friend, Lisa Congdon, made this amazing portrait of Ray Eames + more cool ladies!

I love Joseph Campbell, such a great quote. In the last few years I’ve had to do just that, mourn a life that I wanted but that wasn’t meant to be. I think that’s one of the most difficult things for people to do but if they are able to, it’s quite liberating. There are many ways to a (generally) happy and fulfilled life. (I’ve also had to let go of the idea that a having a good life means being happy all of the time!)

Clowns scare me but I adore that photo!

Oh Jen, I ADORE Venice. I got to go with my girlfriends when I was 19 and it was pretty darn magical. I hope to be able to take Cory there with me someday…

And that quote is one of my favorites.

  5. Beautiful, beautiful, that Marlene Marino photo. And oh, James Dean. And oh, how I covet that globe. Excellent collection as usual, Jen!
