Manger
I’ve been meaning to post about Mimi Thorisson’s beautiful recipe blog, Manger, for a long time. Mimi and her husband, Oddur, their beautiful children and many, many sweet dogs all live in Médoc, France. I must admit that I’m envious of almost every visible aspect of their life. I become so mesmerized and relaxed looking through all of Mimi’s recipes and Oddur Thorisson’s stunning photographs–the imperfect perfection, the adorable little ones running around the countryside in wellies, bicycling to the neighbors’ house down a dirt road to forage for mushrooms and all those dogs! Such a dream.
I’m certain these beautiful recipes and photos are a lot more work and preparation than they seem though. I love this video of Mimi cooking an apple tart at home and this one of Oddur. I need to stop daydreaming and actually try my hand at some of Mimi’s wonderful recipes. Here are some of my favorites, including links to each recipe–more HERE.

I love rustic textures like the distressed plaster and timber. Such great photos, and the food looks pretty decent too!

I don’t know how it’s possible to be hungry after eating that croque madame but I am! Also I am partial to that persian love cake, it was my wedding cake (so good!).
