Hello! I decided to cut out early this week, so I’m posting these fun Portland listings a day earlier than usual. It’s not as mammoth as it has been lately, so you might even be able to do EVERYTHING on the list this week! Have fun and spread the word! xo

Tonight, Thursday August 15, come downtown to Animal Traffic for a fun Taylor Stitch Trunk Show 5–8PM! The SF-based label is now available at Tom’s downtown Portland location. These are some beautiful men’s shirts in fine fabrics (they can also look good on ladies, duh). PLUS, there will be drinks! Animal Traffic is at 429 SW 10th Ave. MORE INFO.

The 9th Annual Top Down: Rooftop Cinema is going on! Tonight, Thursday, Aug 15, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure is showing. Ha! The Northwest Film Center is showing films each Thursday on top of Hotel deLuxe’s parking structure at SW 15th & Yamhill. MORE INFO.

This Friday, August 16, come shop summer styles from REIF and SEAECHO and sip on something before fall hits! One offs, samples, 2nds and more! Come by from 6–9PM at 727 SE Morrison St. MORE INFO.

This Sunday, Aug 18, go see my friend Ashley’s amazing photography show at Stumptown on Belmont! Some Days Are Like That features Ashley Sophia Clark’s wonderful work. The show is up right now, but you can come celebrate her opening this Sunday from 4–6PM. The show runs now through Sept 4. Stumptown Coffee is at 3356 SE Belmont St. MORE INFO.

On Sunday, August 18, the next Portland Flea will be taking place at Union/Pine. Lots of amazing vendors! Located at 525 SE Pine St. MORE INFO.

On Wednesday, August 28, the Fade to Light: A Multidimensional Fashion Event takes place at The Crystal Ballroom. Fade to Light showcases the work of both established and emerging designers within the Portland fashion community, including Project Runway winners and alums and graduates from The Art Institute of Portland and Portland Sewing’s Fashion Forward Program. These designers not only design their collections in Portland, they also do almost all of their manufacturing in Portland and 100% of the manufacturing is done ethically and sustainably. New collections will be shown by Bad Wolf Clothier, Bryce Black, Chicago Harper, ElizaBeth Rohloff, Emit, Michelle Lesniak, Quick Study, Studio SKB, and Wandering Muse. TICKETS + MORE INFO.

Mark your calendar for the HUGE Annual Stars Antiques Sidewalk Sale on Saturday, August 31, Sunday, September 1 and Monday, September 2. It’s going to be a fun 3 days full of amazing deals on vintage. Open 11AM–6PM. Stars is at 7027 SE Milwaukie Ave. MORE INFO.

Wonderful local fabric shop, Josephine’s Dry Goods, just got in a bunch of beautiful Liberty fabrics and Aboriginal cottons from Australia. Plus, they will be having sales because they are closing their door soon, unfortunately. Josephine’s Dry Goods is at 521 SW 11th Ave #100. MORE INFO.
