Katie Armour

This week, I’ve been admiring these amazing Idle Flight modern “taxidermy” bird sculptures made by Portland-based artist Katie Armour. I can’t believe how their paper feathers look so soft and downy and their wings look like they are really taking flight. Such a beautiful and thoughtful depiction of our feathered friends. I know I want to buy one to go in our dining room where we have a loose flora, fauna and apothecary theme, but I can’t decide which one! They’re all such a dream and have their own personalities. I can’t wait to see more from Katie in the future — these are such a joy to take in. I recommend following Katie on Instagram as well — her process is fascinating to see. More HERE.
