Shop Visit: Vintalier

Located in Portland’s vibrant Pearl District, Vintalier offers new and vintage clothing, accessories and apothecary items for both women and men. With humble beginnings as a blog dedicated to incorporating vintage into your wardrobe, owner Ellen Hsu took a leap and opened Vintalier’s brick and mortar location two years ago. Ellen’s eye for vintage is impeccable as she sources and sells everything from frocks to flannels dating from the 1950s to 1970s. Focusing on high quality fabrics like wool and leather and sophisticated colors and prints, Ellen’s ever rotating collection is a must-see for vintage lovers.

Something old, something new. Having already proven itself in the vintage realm, Vintalier expanded from carrying solely vintage items last year to great results. Offering jewelry, stationery, skincare, and a mix of new clothing and accessories, everything complements Vintalier’s vintage heart. Just a few items that complete the Vintalier shopping experience are leather and calf hair bags from Eleven Thirty, jewelry from Portland-based Dea Dia, and salves from Herbivore Botanicals.

Vintalier is also a great spot for the fashion appreciative fellows. With a great selection of vintage flannel, denim, varsity jackets, leather shoes and dapper hats complemented by neckties from Portland’s Kiriko Made and cozy ‘Portland’ sweatshirts from Ebbets Field, gents are sure to find everything needed to make stylish dressing effortless. Vintalier really has something for everyone. Stop in and say “Hi” to Ellen and adorable shop dog Kenji and pick up some wonderful pieces.

Vintalier is located at 412 NW 13th Avenue in Portland and is open Monday through Saturday from 11AM to 6PM and Sundays from 11AM to 5PM or shop Vintalier online for an abbreviated selection. Follow @vintalier on Instagram and like Vintalier on Facebook to keep up on new items and events.
