Espanyolet

I’m so enamored with all the bedding from Espanyolet by Melissa Rosenbauer and Thomas Bossert and named after the neighborhood where their studio in Mallorca is located. They make these beautiful pieces from one-of-a-kind antique Mallorquín textiles in linen, hemp, cotton or a combination of all three, found in their travels all over the island. They use brushstrokes to created a beautiful weathered look inspired by homes, terracotta and things found around the town and the sea. The weight of the fabric, all the celebrated imperfections, and beautiful textures are intoxicating. I’m particularly smitten with the shads of blush, seafoam and stormy seas, like the Biniaraix Bed Cover, the Ses Covetes pillow, the Ses Salines pillow, the Campanet pillow, the Stormcloud Bed Cover.
