Here’s a little peek at the upcoming Colenimo collection for Autumn/Winter 2014. Every season my friend, London-based designer, Aya Nakagawa, releases a collection of the sweetest, most beautifully tailored garments. Colenimo designs are timeless and the pieces in my closet get a lot of wear. I actually make myself nervous about wearing them to bits because I love them so much and want them to last FOREVER.
My favorite pieces from Colenimo A/W 2014 are the incredible ponchos–the Melin Tregwynt Wool Poncho in Indigo and the Heavy Melton A-line Poncho. I also love Aya’s Backwards Sailor Tops and Dresses, the Herringbone Wool Dungarees, the Gabardine Trench Dress and Patchwork Vintage Print Silk Top. Plus, the hair and makeup up is fantastic. That bumped up do is SO refreshing–in a 1960s Italian film star (Monica Vitti) kind of way. More Colenimo.
I’m in love with the new Evens by Kate de Para clothing and accessories designs out of Houston, Texas. There’s lots of dreamy linen and silk–so beautiful! My favorite pieces are her silver silk smock (more sand washed silk love!) and linen box top in sand. More HERE.

I love the new Atelier Delphine Spring/Summer 2014 collection by Pasadena-based designer, Yuka Izutsu. Her clothing looks so comfy for lounging around in warm weather. A lot of this collection reminds me of a lot of laid back, sunny California looks from the 1970s. Cool west coast art teacher vibes with dreamy Liberty prints. Shop HERE and HERE.

Here are a few sweet new looks from the Eve Gravel Spring/Summer 2014 collection. I think these are my favorite designs from the Montreal-based designer since her ‘Frankenweenie’ dress for F/W 2011. I especially like the Sugar Cane and Coconut dresses above and the Guyane below. The colors for the rayon pieces are really lovely. More HERE. Happy Monday!

So, it’s Friday? I have no idea how this week went so fast. The pace of time is endlessly distressing (not a good use of time!?). I thought what might really be helpful is a tutorial for how to slow time down, but it just makes me wish I had more time and money to travel! Sigh. This weekend is full of tedious, time consuming tasks that I’m not looking forward to, so tonight will be all about slowing the week down with some takeout, nail polish, wine and a good Brit crime drama. I hope you have some slow, enjoyable plans for the weekend!
