Mirit Weinstock

I love the new jewelry collection by Israeli artist and designer, Mirit Weinstock. It’s called The Clowns Collection and she made her beautiful porcelain pieces with inspiration from pleated clown collars, noisemakers, pointy hats and bow ties! Love. The dreamy pieces are sculpted with silk that burns away in the kiln, but the porcelain holds its curious shapes. I found her wonderful work a few weeks ago when I first discovered Swords-Smith.

After her time at Lanvin, Alber Elbaz said that Mirit Weinstock’s design work is “creative, conceptual, precise, original and inspiring.” I wholly agree! More HERE and HERE.

Sweet Jane

jane birkin 1973 by francois gaillard via honey kennedy

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I love Jane Birkin for her music, films, style, humanitarian work and her amazing daughters. Here are some of my sunny favorite photos of her–when she was between the ages of 23 to 27. I love the golden hour glow–maybe she just emits that herself! Have a wonderful week–may we all be wrapped in a golden glow! xo

What a week. Big hugs to Oklahoma. Also, a big shout out to my sweet friend, Kelly Beall. She has been helping the displaced, furry victims of the Moore tornado by working with her animal rescue group. Follow designcrush on Instagram to see. Look at THESE GUYS! Awww… I hope they all get back home. The photos of animals reunited with their humans are so good. And a shout out to the AMAZING Moore mama cat who got all her 5 kittens to safety in the nick of time, but didn’t make it out herself. The power of love. Help HERE. ♥

Happy Friday, everyone. I hope my US friends out there get to take a nice long holiday weekend and everybody gets to have some fun and relaxation. See you Tuesday. XOXO Jen

Brookes Boswell Millinery

I love all the cute hats that Brookes Boswell Millinery has been making in Brooklyn. I’ve been going cuckoo looking for a summer hat to shade my ghostly pale Irish mug and Brookes’ are really sweet. I also love that she makes made-to-order hats. Everything is 100% hand blocked and the stitching is done almost entirely by hand. Beautiful! More HERE.
