MKS

I’ve had it in a folder on my desktop since September when she posted it, but I love this photo of Teen Vogue’s Fashion Market Editor, Mary Kate Steinmiller, by Garance Doré. Right now it is making me look forward to wearing classic full skirts sans stockings in the spring. So pretty! Mary Kate has fantastic style. image courtesy of Garance Doré  Read More

pretty pleats…

Vivienne.

I love these murky, dreamily dark images from the Vivienne Westwood Gold Collection A/W 2010 & S/S 2011 runways. Her Gold line is my favorite work of hers right now, but I also really love some of the pieces from Anglomania. She really holds court and tells such wonderful tales with her garments. She’s been such a tremendous inspiration and a major hero since I was a kid. all images courtesy of Vivienne Westwood  Read More

West End Girls

I love Swedish designer Ulrika Sandström’s “West End Girls Collection” for F/W 2010. This collection was inspired by myths, cliches and preconceptions surrounding the UK in general, and London more specifically. Another big influence was the song “London!” by Frida Hyvönen which is a love letter to the city that sends no reply. I would love to visit Ulrika Sandström’s concept store in Stockholm someday! And really,... Read More
